Gold – Palladium Catalyst Gauze System / Catalyst Catchment System Engineer

Job Description:

We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Catalyst and Catchment System Engineer to play a pivotal role in our design and development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and improvement of catalyst and catchment systems used in industrial processes. In addition to this, the role includes technical advisory, quality assurance, customer engagement, and documentation responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with the production team to design catalyst and catchment systems, ensuring feasibility and viability for production.
  2. Communicate the benefits of our designs effectively to customers and align their needs with our solutions.
  3. Enhance the performance of catalyst and catchment systems through tailored configurations.
  4. Coordinate Scanning electron microscopy with energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy analysis through independent laboratories and analyze the data for further insights.
  5. Generate innovative ideas based on market needs and develop new offerings, conducting simulations and trials for validation.
  6. Provide technical advisory services to customers to eliminate or minimize technical bottlenecks and improve plant efficiency and performance.
  7. Identify unmet customer needs, develop tailor-made designs, and work closely with the commercial team to propose optimum solutions.
  8. Develop technical content, including white papers and presentations, to enhance the company’s global visibility in the gauze market.
  9. Collaborate with researchers on gauze design and development, ensuring alignment on optimal designs for manufacturing.
  10. Inspect and approve finished catalyst and getter gauzes/systems to maintain high-quality standards.
  11. Analyze recoveries and losses of precious metals after each campaign and use the results for design improvements.
  12. Build strong relationships with key decision-makers to facilitate the acceptance of our products and solutions.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and maintain process engineering documents, internal production orders, and other relevant documents in coordination with the team.
  2. Collaborate with ISO auditors, both internal and external, to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  3. Provide technical coordination for destructive and non-destructive projects related to plant cleaning services.
  4. Support the development of marketing materials, including data sheets, brochures, and technical catalogs for promotional activities.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in designing and developing catalyst and catchment systems.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret SEM/EDX data.
  • Excellent communication and customer engagement skills.
  • Creative problem-solving and innovation abilities.
  • Experience in technical advisory and customer relationship management.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance and ISO standards is a plus.
